Amongst the many poems I read for class this week "Lonely Hearts" by Wendy Cope grasped my attention the most. When I read the title I assumed the poem would be about solitude, sadness, individuals for ever alone (I was almost right). "Lonely Hearts" is a poem about an individual male desperately seeking for love and does so in an ad. He is alone and has probably been alone for a long time since he doesn't care about who replies back as long as there is someone "willing" to do so. This poem is quite interesting and I would most likely recommend it to friends.
